FBC Melgar has leaked a letter to the press which it is addressing to the National Referees Commission (CONAR). The letter, signed by his sporting manager Edgar Villamarín, requests within 24 hours the audio recordings of referee Jordy Espinoza’s conversation with his VAR colleagues during the game against Deportivo Garcilaso in Cusco. The game was a draw with two goals.
The Mistiano club are aiming for their claims to four games. Both penalties were imposed in favor of the imperialists. A foul by Santiago Giordana on Walter Tandazo that should have resulted in a red card. Finally, light blue players invaded the penalty area when taking the penalty missed by Jhamir D’Arrigo.
“Due to the disputed arbitration decisions during the sports match against Deportivo Garcilaso, we request the audio recordings within a maximum period of 24 hours from the receipt of this communication,” the document reads.
Likewise, the coach Mariano Soso received several sanction dates because he was expelled and then when he entered the dressing rooms of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega stadium, he refuted the referee when the game was over. “You are a national disgrace,” he yelled at her uncontrollably. Jordy Espinoza only managed to listen and prepare to come up with a report that will surely be succinct against the Red-Black team coach.
Beto trained
Beto Da Silva completed his first training session with FBC Melgar at the Videfa field in Characato yesterday. The brand new reinforcement from Melgar posed in the red and black kit ahead of the squad’s training session ahead of Friday’s 3pm game against Atlético Grau in Arequipa.
Meanwhile, the percentage of fans who didn’t welcome his signing is high. Most point to the injuries the player has suffered and not having a team for the first half of the year. For their part, the club haven’t confirmed if Beto Da Silva will be presented at a conference or if he will appear again in the capital’s media.
There are no serious injuries in the team so everyone will be fit to play this Friday. Soso is unable to give instructions from the technical zone as he has been sent off.
Paulo Reyna
El Lïbero newspaper journalist Gustavo Peralta reported on his social networks that FBC Melgar wing-back Paolo Reyna is being watched by Portuguese clubs. A possible transfer or sale of the player has not yet been confirmed, but the talks are real.
Reyna is 21 years old and is in her fifth season at Club Arequipa. Due to his good performances, he was called up to a microcycle of the Peru national team last year.
That year, his performance wasn’t quite as high as at the 2022 Copa Sudamericana. That year, he also received a proposal from Independiente de Argentina, however, his transfer failed to go through. Last week, Melgar club surprisingly sold striker Luis Iberico to Latvia’s Riag FC, who left and was introduced immediately.
