Last Monday (3) a gunman opened fire on pedestrians on several streets in Philadelphia, United States. Five people died and two children were injured. The shooter was arrested and a second man suspected of involvement in the shooting is also being arrested. The perpetrator was wearing a bulletproof vest.
No information is yet available about the connection between the suspects and the victims, or the circumstances of the crime. Security forces are still assessing the damage caused in pursuit of the gunman.
According to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle M. Outlaw, three of those killed were adults between the ages of 20 and 50, and their identities have not been released. There is no information about the other victims. The two injured children, aged 2 and 13, have been referred for medical attention and are in stable health.
The criminal who committed the shooting was a 40yearold man armed with a rifle and a pistol. There were several magazines in his waistcoat pockets. US police are still investigating the incident.
