Five months after the launch of the Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 13 Pro we tested and the 13 Ultra, their successors are already being talked about. In this case, this initial information comes from Leaker Digital Chat Station, which is often well-informed when it comes to Chinese cell phones. His words are transmitted to us by GSMArena.
The information shared in advance includes details about the on-board processor, but also about the batteries and information about the supported charging speeds. However, due to its very early leak, this information deserves to be taken with due consideration: it is quite possible that the specifications of Xiaomi’s next flagships will evolve towards their launch, which is expected at the end of 2023.
Very powerful mobile phones … but was it necessary to doubt them?
Anyway, we learn that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro would be among the first to be equipped with the future Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As a reminder, the latter should be announced by Qualcomm on the occasion of the Summit announced between October 24 and 26/02/2023, in Hawaii. It would therefore be ready for integration with Xiaomi’s two flagships, expected in November, estimates GSMArena.
The presence of Qualcomm’s new chip on the Xiaomi 14 would not come as a huge surprise. Since the Xiaomi 13 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it would be logical that the partnership between Xiaomi and Qualcomm would continue with the Chinese giant’s next generation of high-end phones.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would benefit from a “1 + 5 + 2” configuration with a very powerful Cortex-X4 core, five Cortex-A720 cores and two highly energy-efficient Cortex-A520 cores. The SoC would also come with an Adreno 750 GPU part, which should offer a significant leap forward in terms of graphics performance.
For the rest, we learn that the Xiaomi 14 would be equipped with a 4,860 mAh battery, compatible with 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The Pro version would eventually bet on a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery, this time benefiting from 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Given the alleged launch window for the Xiaomi 14 (relatively close), no doubt more information will reach us in the coming months, whether through official channels or not.
