How I Met Your Mother is a well-done show, but it’s not without its flaws either.
The hit sitcom ended in 2014, and many fans were unhappy with the finale and wondered about a number of plot holes that were never fixed.
Here are five questions How I Met Your Mother fans would love to have answered.
5. Why did Tracy leave in the middle of the wedding?
Ted left the wedding early because he had to take a train back to New York to go to Chicago in the morning. Why Tracy, the band member who was paid to play at the reception, also left early has never been explained.
4. What happened to Lily’s career after Rome?
One of the major storylines of the last few seasons has been Lily and Marshall’s will, they don’t want, they’re moving to Rome. We learn they eventually went to Italy for a year and Marshall later became a judge anyway, but we’d like to know if Lily continued her career as an art consultant in New York.
3. Why did it take so long for Ted and Tracy to get married?
We understand they’ve been busy with kids and work, but Ted’s whole scoop is that he’s wanted to be a husband since he was 20. Are we now to believe that he just doesn’t mind waiting years to tie the knot? nope!
2. Who is the mother of Barney’s child?
Barney tried to achieve the perfect month, but instead he ended up with girl #31. As a result, Ellie was born and Barney Stinson finally found meaning in life. That’s all well and good, but tell us more about the baby mama in question!
1. What disease did Tracy die of?
It’s bad enough that the mother had to die in the first place. Not explaining the cause of death to viewers? This is a low blow that we will not tolerate. Tracy is the reason the show exists in the first place, and we deserve to know what ailment she ended up taking from us.
Who knows, maybe we’ll get an answer to some of those questions in How I Met Your Father if it’s ever renewed…
