The beach at St. George Island State Park in Florida was voted the best in the United States. This annual ranking has been compiled by scientist Stephen Leatherman, known as Dr. Beach, created. CBS News states that the above beach is on the coast overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. It offers nine miles of pristine sand, as well as nature trails ideal for hiking or biking. As if that weren’t enough, there are also areas for fishing and boating in the area. The area is perfect for touring and camping.
What makes this beach so special? The place of honor in the 2023 list was deserved because it is an exotic place full of sun and sand. In addition, it is a perfect platform for observing the night sky as there is little air pollution in this area. dr Beach affirms that this beach has “some of the finest sands in the world.” Its water is crystal clear and clean, without any source of pollution.”
50 criteria for evaluating beaches
The renowned scientist has been making this selection since 1991. He takes into account 50 criteria such as the size of the beaches, the softness of the sand and the water temperature. Also analyze color and wildlife, among other things.
Second in this year’s ranking is Duke Kahanamoku Beach on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. It is right on the west end of the famous Waikiki Beach.
Other beaches like Wailea Beach on Maui and Poipu Beach on Kauai, Hawaii make the top 10. In the same privileged location, the beach is in Isla Caladesi Park State Park in the Dunedin/Clearwater area. The remaining five beaches are in New York, North Carolina, California, South Carolina, and Massachusetts.
