NFL players compete… in the “Beer Olympiads”

Some NFL players are preparing for the next regular season in somewhat questionable ways, as evidenced last week as they racked up their calories at the “Beer Olympiads.”

The event, which will be hosted by Taylor Lewan, a former Goodell Tour athlete who co-hosts a podcast broadcast by Barstool Sports, appears to be gaining popularity among professional footballers. Green Bay Packers left-back David Bakhtiari used a break before the start of training camp to demonstrate his good hop skills in front of several in attendance, including winger George Kittle. For his part, former NFL refereeing chief Dean Blandino, who now works for the FOX Sports network, worked precisely as a competition official.

As a sequence posted to Twitter made clear, Bakhtiari and Packers teammate Tucker Kraft, third-round pick in the 2023 draft, were a roaring duo at the beer-drinking event, which they won thanks to the elder’s “performance.” He emptied his glass boot in 8.59 seconds.

However, Kittle and his partner DeForest Buckner had the final say in all of the day’s competitions, which included ‘Beer Pong’, and proudly presented their trophy in the evening.
