Today the President of the United States sent a message of congratulations to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the Algerian Independence Day celebrations.
In that message, President Joe Biden expressed his best wishes to President Tebboune and the Algerian people on behalf of the American people. He stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and welcomed Algeria’s future membership of the United Nations Security Council.

The US President also stressed that the strong partnership between Algeria and the United States has helped promote peace and prosperity for both peoples. He expressed willingness to work together to address regional security challenges, including countering extremism and terrorism.
Finally, President Biden expressed his commitment to strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries. President Tebboune, meanwhile, had sent a bouquet of flowers to mark United States Independence Day today.
