Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) is a divorced father struggling to make ends meet. To win back his son’s trust Nick (Jake Cherry) takes on the job of night watchman at the New York Museum of Natural History. On his first night on the job, he discovers that the museum literally comes to life: statues that talk, mischievous monkeys, miniatures that fight every night, and a T-Rex that acts like a dog. Fearing the chaos, he finds help at the wax statue of Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams), who tells him how the works are under the magic of the mummy’s golden table Pharaoh Ahkmenrah (Rami Malek). The only rule: no work can be left outside the museum after daybreak, otherwise it would turn to ashes. Will Larry be able to keep his job and earn the respect of the works on display at the museum?
