Did Adam Cole and MJF just become best friends

Did Adam Cole and MJF just become best friends? – cage seats

On the July 5 episode of Dynamite, we got our first look at the odd team of World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Adam Cole at AEW’s Blind Eliminator Tournament. The pair became friends at the gym during the week…

In their match against The Butcher & Daddy Magic, they didn’t get a chance to reach the “double clothesline” that MJF envisions as a finisher. Cole also seemed unenthusiastic about some of his partner’s heel tactics. But after getting the win, he agreed to another “bro session” with Max. The champion also planned a birthday party for Cole!

Cole was a little overwhelmed by all of this, but he was ready when Friedman tried to get his face into the cake. And then he called MJF his friend when thanking him for the whole party.

At the start of the show, AEW kicked off the tournament for a future tag title fight with an opening match designed to reignite the feud between former tag champions Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland when they faced Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy.

For people who have missed Keith Lee at his Keith Lee stuff, this is it. He threw Darby through the ring on the bell and immediately hacked the international champion’s soul out of his body. The Boundless powerslammed his partner while Strickland attempted to superplex Allin…

It took both his opponents and his partner to slow down Big Keith’s throw…

Swerve didn’t show much more remorse when he super kicked his partner to the face later, and Lee didn’t seem too upset when Strickland was pinned by Allin a little later, dabbing OC on the way to the back. Darby & Orange are progressing and hopefully AEW will return to Strickland vs Lee sooner rather than later.

In other tournament news, we also learned that Matt Hardy and Jeff Jarrett formed a team. Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia have also been informed that they will face off in the tournament and that these two teams will face off this Friday night at Rampage. Also on July 7th will be the final quarterfinal match, pitting Brian Cage and Big Bill against Trent Beretta and Matt Sydal.

Next week at Dynamite, the winner of Hardy & Jarrett vs. Guevara & Garcia meets Allin & Cassidy, while the winner of Cage & Bill vs. Beretta & Sydal gets MJF & Cole.
