Madonna isn’t faring much better, the new tour dates have not yet been announced

Madonna was in intensive care last week after a serious bacterial infection and is not recovering as quickly as expected, sources close to the singer told gossip outlet TMZ.

Madonna, 64, is still “weak and very tired” and spends a lot of time in bed.

The first performance of the Celebration tour was scheduled for July 15 in Vancouver, but was postponed. No new information regarding a new tour schedule has been announced at this time.

Tour manager Guy Oseary has announced that Madonna is expected to make a full recovery. The New York Post was able to see that the next available tickets go on sale in Seattle starting Tuesday, July 18.

It seems that Madonna has not told her loved ones about her tour since her illness.

Over the weekend, her good friend Rosie O’Donnell assured fans of the singer that she was “fine” after being bombarded with questions on Instagram.

“She’s recovering at home, she’s really strong in general,” Rosie O’Donnell replied to a follower.

Sources say she is still very ill and bedridden since being discharged from the hospital.

She reportedly had a fever for a month before she was found unconscious at her home in New York. She was reportedly intubated in intensive care last week.

Her eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, 26, was reportedly with her the whole time.

It appears she would have insisted on rehearsing more than 12 hours a day for her show and was “burned out” trying to compete with younger artists.

She also worked with dancers who were “just a fraction of her age.”

Madonna has not personally addressed her condition and it remains unclear what type of bacterial infection she suffered.

Madonna Louise Ciccone was born in Michigan in August 1958 to Italian and French-Canadian parents. She began her career as a dancer, author, composer and singer in New York in the late 1970s with 35 dollars in her pocket.

She has won seven Grammy Awards, including 14 studio albums as well as live records, film soundtracks, compilations…

Her 40-year career as a producer, actress and film director has made her one of the most influential and wealthy artists and businesswomen in the world.
