Estrie Glace: 150 tons per day for Quebec, Ontario and Vermont

The hotter it is, the more Estrie Glace has to produce, since its production of 150 tons per day manages to supply customers in Vermont and Ontario as well as Quebec.

The Estrie Glace plant, located in the Magog Industrial Park, has been running at maximum production for a few days.

“We produce continuously, we add shifts,” says owner Samuel Bernard.

“When it’s that hot, not all ice cream producers can keep up with the demand and that’s where we excel. Today, for example, one truck goes to Vermont, another to Toronto. We never say no when a customer calls us,” he added.

Estrie Glace’s main customers are grocery stores, convenience stores and concrete refrigeration companies.

The fact that Estrie Glace is able to supply both its regional customers and customers outside the province is thanks to the large investments made by the owner in recent years.

“We have expanded and invested in robotics to increase production and deep freeze storage space. It’s a business risk I took and so far we can say it’s working. There have been times when we’ve had to endure rainy summers without too much heat, which hurt, but overall it was worth it. Right now I can guarantee you that we are very popular!” he pointed out.
