Tour said the Eagles last game wont be their last

“Tour said the Eagles’ last game won’t be their last,” says Joe Walsh

In fact, an upcoming Eagles tour, originally slated to be their last, won’t be their last, said band member Joe Walsh.

The band’s guitarist refuted initial claims that “The Long Goodbye” was the Eagles’ final tour, saying that it will likely indeed be their “penultimate tour” and that they “would play until nobody came.” .

Walsh’s comments came during an event in LA on July 7 to celebrate Ringo Starr’s 83rd birthday and just a day after the “final tour” announcement.

The quintessential 1970s band is behind rock hits like “Hotel California” and “Life in the Fast Lane.”

In a statement, the Eagles indicated the tour would likely be overrun and that they would “do as many shows as their audiences demand in each market.”

During the event, Walsh and Ringo both spoke about the imminent end of their respective careers.

“I think it’s probably the penultimate tour,” Walsh said. ‘We’ll play until no one comes.’ And then we’ll probably be done.’

Ringo joked at the time that the Eagles’ final tour might end up looking a little like Elton John’s, which is notoriously lengthy. It started in September 2018 and only ended at the end of last month.

“They’re probably going to say, ‘Elton, it would take three or four years for that to happen last week,'” Ringo said.

The tour will feature Walsh, Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey – son of the late Glenn Frey, one of the band’s founding members – and will open September 7 at Madison Square Garden.

Ringo was also asked how he keeps fit at the age of 83, to which he replied: “I exercise and eat and my overall health is good.”

“It’s really about promoting peace and love.” And that’s how it works and it still works for me today.”
