Jimmy Uso mulls over Jeys solo push after injury

Jimmy Uso mulls over Jey’s solo push after injury – Wrestling News

Jey Uso became the main event Jey while his brother Jimmy was out with a knee injury. The Bloodline story really took shape around this time when Jey joined Roman Reigns after losing his match for the WWE Universal Championship. Jimmy only returned to competing full-time in May 2021, more than a year after his injury.

During an interview with BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani, Jimmy reflected on the time Jey was traveling alone after his injury.

He explains:

“It was harder than I thought. I was sitting at home, I was hurt, I was sitting quietly for the first time in my career watching my brother accelerate his career, it was something completely new to me. Seeing how he evolved as a solo character inspired me. We’re the Usos, but there’s Jey and Jimmy. We could see how Jey developed. I got goosebumps watching what was happening at home. I remember sitting at home with the braces on and watching what was going on. As a fan on the other hand, at home and in front of the TV, I saw him, I saw Roman, when the world stopped and these brothers upped the game and showed what was possible. In what was then the ThunderDome, the whole business changed drastically. We have moved from a living energy to a zoning and direct feeling of these emotions. We’re having fun like never before in our career. We tapped into something else, something that reorganized us. We’ve improved. It’s an honor to come here after an injury, to contribute to what’s happening, and to make it the best in the world of wrestling. »

Jey Usos pulled off a feat this weekend at Money in the Bank, pinning Roman Reigns after more than three years of invincibility. He then won the Bloodline Civil War alongside his brother Jimmy. Will he go on a solo attack again and rip his cousin’s belt off? For the answer, we’ll have to watch the next SmackDown.
