Oppenheimer will have sex and nude scenes between Cillian Murphy and Florence Pugh: "It’s the strongest thing I’ve ever done" I love cinema

Oppenheimer will premiere in Brazilian cinemas on July 20.

One of the most anticipated releases of the year, Christopher Nolan’s new film, Oppenheimer, casts Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist instrumental in the development of the atomic bomb. This production marks a big shift for Nolan in terms of character relationships.

To see Oppenheimer properly, one has to understand what this change means in Christopher Nolan’s film.

Christopher Nolan is sometimes criticized for the apathetic way he presents his characters, but the director told Wired that with Oppenheimer in particular, “the love for the characters, the love for the relationships, is stronger than ever.”

A report from The Guardian revealed that Oppenheimer will have extended sex scenes and full nudity with Cillian Murphy and Florence Pugh, who plays the protagonist’s exfiancé. There are also complicated scenes with Emily Blunt, who plays his wife, “that were pretty intense.” Murphy confirmed that he was “strictly instructed” not to discuss any details of the film’s plot, but gave details of the chemistry tests that were performed on the production, which he, Pugh and Blunt were involved in.

“They put two actors in a room to see if it sparks, and all the producers and the director sit at a table and watch. I don’t know what standards they’re using and it seems so absurdly silly, but sometimes the chemistry is there and nobody knows why,” the protagonist explained, hinting that the scenes with Blunt and Pugh create that magic.

The cast of Christopher Nolan’s new film includes Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh and Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Benny Safdie, Jack Quaid, Gary Oldman, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett, Rami Malek, Dane DeHaan and Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich, and Matthew Modine.

Set in World War II, “Oppenheimer” follows the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy), a theoretical physicist at the University of California and director of the Los Alamos Laboratory during the Manhattan Project whose job it was to design and develop the first to build atomic bombs. The plot follows the physicist and a group of other scientists through the entire process of developing the atomic weapon responsible for the 1945 tragedies in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.
