Since this Wednesday evening, the third beta has been offered by iOS 17 developers who have installed the new iPhone update.
More than a month after releasing the first-ever beta of iOS 17 to developers, and after a second update was offered fifteen days later, Apple is back with a third beta. Rich in visual novelty, it takes another step towards what iOS 17 will definitely look like when it finally releases next fall.
The third iOS 17 beta, available since Wednesday evening, focuses on Apple Music, the Home application but also the Health application. Let’s take a look.
- Apple Music pays more tribute to a song’s musicians, composers, and other lyricists with a dedicated tab now dedicated to them. When playing music, there is now a “Show Credits” tab in the “…” menu, which links to the full list of musicians.
- The Photos app changes slightly in the Recently Deleted Media section by changing the tabs. If you now press “…” at the bottom of the screen without having selected an image, you have the two options “Restore All” or “Delete All”. The principle is the same if you have selected one or more media.
- There are also some changes in the health application, particularly in the menu centered around emotions and mental well-being. The colors have been changed, as have the buttons and background.
- As soon as you start the Home application after the update, you will see an informational pop-up window with what’s new. Accessory activity history, information design change and new widgets on the home screen – the application is now richer.
- Finally, with the introduction of depth control, the camera settings have also changed somewhat. “Keeps the depth setting for Photo, Portrait, and Cinema modes instead of automatically resetting them,” Apple says in the menu.
All of these new features are already available to those who have installed the iOS 17 developer beta. The public beta is rumored to be available sometime next week as rumors suggest on Monday 10th July.
