The tour celebrates Lady Gaga’s sixth album, Chromatica, which was released in May 2020 and hailed as a return to her dance-pop roots. The album’s lead single “Stupid Love” and Lady Gaga’s duet with Ariana Grande “Rain on Me” rose to the top of the charts immediately upon release.

Lady Gaga originally scheduled the tour for 2020 but had to postpone it several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
