Hugh Jackman ‘strict dating rules’ for his daughter Ava, 18, at the start of her senior year: ‘He knows he can’t help it’
Hugh Jackman is said to have “difficulty” with the idea of dating his 18-year-old daughter Ava.
According to Woman’s Day, the Wolverine star imposed some strict rules on the teen and his wife Deborah-Lee Furness has told Ava she needs to “gain her father’s trust”.
The problem with dating Ava arises as the teenage girl begins her final year of high school.
“Prom is coming up in a year, so even Hugh knows he can’t help it,” a family friend reportedly told the publication.
“Hugh is struggling with the fact that his little girl is growing up.”

“Ava has always been a daddy girl, so she knows she has to go easy on him.” Her mother wisely told her, “Trust is earned, so don’t screw it up.”
Hugh and Deborra-Lee have one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood and are as in love as ever after 27 years together.
Hugh recently revealed that he and his wife had “very different ideas” about parenting when they first adopted children.
The actor shares adopted children Oscar, 22, and Ava with his fellow Australian, whom he married in 1996.
Speaking to The Radio Times, Hugh said, “You fall in love with someone and develop a relationship, that’s great!” Suddenly we had kids.
“The way I was raised, the way she was raised…suddenly… whoops! And it wasn’t just Deb and I, but somehow our past came together.”

“We had really different ideas about being parents. And we never really discussed it beforehand.
“We just assumed: we love each other, we don’t fight, it’ll be alright!” added the star.
Hugh and Deborah married just a year after meeting on the set of Australian drama Corelli in 1995.
The actor previously said that after only two weeks of knowing her, he knew he would spend the rest of his life with his beloved.
