Hockey fans love to look to the future to predict who the next big thing in their sport will be. Already eye-opening is one future hopeful who won’t be eligible until 2031, and he’s from Quebec.
On Sunday, the hockey world learned of the existence of Liam Tep, a 10-year-old boy from Mirabel. The small forward attended last week’s Brick Invitational wearing the Montreal Canadiens jersey.

Tep surpassed the event’s points record with 29 in just eight encounters. Cole Caufield, the current Habs Colors holder, previously shared that 28-point mark with Michael Misa, the youngest hockey player to receive OHL Outstanding Player status.
Obviously, both Caufield and Tep have opted for the number 22 jersey.
The Canadians triumphed in the tournament finals, defeating Team Minnesota 7-4. Previously, Tep played two five-point games and one six-point game.
This 2013-born Quebecer is one to watch, but we’ll have to be patient.
