A lawsuit over a French winery co-owned by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continues to leave those involved in very bad taste.

In a new court filing obtained by CNN, Jolie’s former investment firm Nouvel accuses Pitt of attempting to maintain control of Château Miraval by “expropriating” and “looting” property within it.

“Pitt squandered company fortunes spending millions of dollars on beauty projects, including more than $1 million on a swimming pool renovation, construction – and four remodeling – of a staircase, and millions on the restoration of a recording studio,” the am Document submitted Monday.
Nouvel’s lawyers allege in the filing that Pitt’s “misconduct” escalated after Jolie sold Nouvel to Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of Stoli Group controlled by Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler, in October 2021.

Pitt first sued Jolie’s sale of the property and winery in February 2022, calling it “illegal” because, he claims, the two agreed when they bought the property that neither would sell without the other’s consent.
Jolie filed a countersuit, claiming there never was such a deal and that she sold her portion of the winery to gain “financial independence” from Pitt and “to find some kind of peace and closure to this deeply painful and traumatic chapter.” . ” of his life and that of their children.
