Restaurant workers accidentally discovered that dozens of children and teenagers in the United States had been raped by an amateur soccer coach.
The discovery was made last Sunday (9) after the technician, Camilo Hurtado Campos, 63, left the device at the facility. In an attempt to identify the owner and return the phone, staff unlocked the cellphone and eventually found videos and photos of the unconscious victims who were raped.
The pictures clearly show Camilo committing the crimes. Upon discovery, the police were called and the trainer identified, Camilo was arrested. Based in Franklin, Nashville, he frequently visits public parks and schools in search of new talent.
According to the police, the victims were male children and young people whom he had approached to play football. Three have already been identified and five came forward after the case was disclosed, all between the ages of 9 and 17.
Some didn’t even know they were being raped as they were drugged. Others said they were invited to the coach’s home.
According to local authorities, the footage found on the phone is “unscrupulous”. “Instead, they found dozens of unscrupulous videos and photos of children (…). He filmed raping unconscious boys between the ages of about 9 and 17,” the police statement said.
An investigation is underway to identify more victims and to find out if Camilo had the help of someone who drugged and raped the boys.
