New Ticketmaster bug for Taylor Swift’s Paris dates

The sale of tickets for the Paris concerts of the US star Taylor Swift was suspended on the Ticketmaster platform shortly after its launch on Tuesday because the artist had experienced problems in the past year.

The sale “for the Paris La Défense Arena has been put on hold,” writes Ticketmaster on its French social networks. “We will update you on new sale times as soon as possible,” the platform continues. A previous message mentioned: “Problems with the website [mardi] Morning”.

Taylor Swift, pop figure with 267 million followers on Instagram, had added an additional appointment for the Paris La Défense Arena, the largest indoor arena in Europe, which must therefore receive him on May 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2024 .

These four Paris concerts mark the start of the Cruel Summer interpreter’s European tour. The sale of tickets for the four dates at the Paris La Défense Arena was scheduled for this Tuesday morning. Registrations for the sale had been closed since June 23.

This isn’t the first such mishap for the platform. At the US Senate grill earlier this year, Ticketmaster admitted it had “responsibility” for the cacophony surrounding US ticket sales for US star Taylor Swift’s November 2022 tour.

However, the show ticketing giant was quick to point to its complicity in “bot attacks” that significantly slowed the platform’s operations during ticket sales in mid-November.

That chaotic situation had reignited criticism of the giant’s dominance in the ticketing sector, which merged with entertainment giant Live Nation in 2010. Without naming her directly, the singer had criticized the platform in an Instagram post, claiming she was “out there” after seeing so many of her fans “live a nightmare.”
