Julia Koch, known as the third richest woman alive, has completed the sale of her sevenstory penthouse on New York’s Upper East Side for US$41 million (about R$199.7 million at current prices).

The 14,000squarefoot property features eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, along with a marble foyer, central staircase, kitchen and landscaped patio, the NY Post reported. Designed by Robert Couturier and renovated by architect Peter Marino, the house is described as a blend of “modern comfort and luxury”.

The master suite alone is 140 sqm and has a private living room, a fireplace and a double bathroom. There is also a separate service entrance, a security room, a staff suite and a fitness room. In addition to the staircase, the floors can be reached via an elevator.
