A lonely California man is mourning after his cat was beaten to death by a pit bull who overpowered its owners – who then fled the grisly crime scene.

Devastated Tootie Pootie owner Chris Fowler said the ordeal was traumatic – and is now demanding justice after the nine-year-old cat was vandalized by a dog on Magliocco Drive in San Jose.

Fowler let his cat out of his apartment for some fresh air on Saturday afternoon when a man, a girl and a large dog approached them in the street.

Footage showed the dog leaping forward and overpowering the girl who was holding her leash.

Fowler told KRON, “I have no family.” She went through some of the most difficult times of my life and meant a lot to me.

“She was my everything.” She was all I had. It’s traumatic.

“She was so sweet and innocent. It’s unfair how she died. I miss her.’
