Costa Rica will host a wellness tourism event

This is the Costa Rica Wellness Summit, which in its third edition aims to position the country as a benchmark both on the national and international market in this modality that has gained strength in the post-Covid phase.

Wellness tourism, also known as wellness tourism, aims to find physical and mental pleasure in the destination through healthy activities and a healthy and balanced diet.

Under the motto “We are well-being, we are Pura Vida”, the event, which takes place from September 22nd to 23rd, focuses on the creation of well-being spaces in organisations, in the productive sector and in the community in general, with a social focus.

The event, held at the Costa Rica Convention Center, is also designed to ensure attendees make the most of their time at Latin America’s largest wellness summit.

Topics such as the power of wellness in today’s economy, innovations and best practices in organizational wellness and wellness tourism are part of the academic program.

Plus customer case studies and how to increase performance and maximize value for money to develop wellness products and services.

According to a report by the Global Wellness Institute, the wellness market, tourism of this type, has experienced economic growth of more than 10 percent in the last three years and the countries that practice it the most are the United States, China and Germany.

According to the Global Wellness Summit, or World Wellness Summit, world travelers take about 586 million trips related to improving their mental and physical health every year, spending about 130 percent more than the average tourist. Some of the activities they aspire to include mindfulness, detox diets, acupuncture, tai chi sessions, nutrition workshops, meditation sessions, among others.

There are also spa and whirlpool circuits, yoga and spiritual retreats, quartz or crystal therapies, breathing programs, massages and traditional treatments of the local culture.
