The actor gave a rare glimpse into his love life as he said his bond with the 26-year-old star is “what is most sacred to him”.

Tom and Zendaya have kept their romance low-key since they first met in 2017 after playing each other in the Spider-Man franchise.

He said, “My relationship is what’s most sacred to me.” I don’t talk about it. I’m trying my best to keep it as private as possible.’

“We both feel this is the healthiest way for us to move on as a couple, so I’m trying to stay away from Hollywood as much as possible.”

Just after last week, Tom gushed about his romance with Zendaya and shared how “lucky” he is to have her in his life.

He affectionately described their relationship as “golden” when discussing how they can share their life and work experiences together.

During the lengthy interview, Holland also spoke about his journey to sobriety and how he realized he was addicted to alcohol.

In May, he publicly announced that he had been sober for a year and four months, adding that it was one of the hardest things he’s ever done.

Holland said he realized he had a problem when he tried to go a month without alcohol: “That was all I could think about.” I woke up and thought about it, I looked at the clock : ‘When is it 12?’ And it really scared me.’

“I was like, ‘Wow, maybe I’ve got some booze,’ so I decided to punish myself and say I’m going to take two months off in February, too,” Holland said.

Holland added that the two months had passed and he was “still struggling a lot like I couldn’t socialize, I felt like I couldn’t go to the pub and have a lemonade, I couldn’t go out.” I had really big problems at dinner and was really worried that I might have a drinking problem.’

After the two months had passed, he decided to have three more months until his birthday, June 1st.

“I said to myself, if I can go six months without alcohol, then I can prove to myself that I don’t have a problem,” admitted Holland, adding, “When I arrived on June 1st, I was done.” “The happiest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

He added that after all that time without alcohol, he was sleeping better, problem-solving better, and “Things that would go wrong on set that would normally upset me, I was able to take it easy.”
