Amber Alert: American woman asks kidnappers to return her baby

A distraught mother whose nine-month-old daughter was kidnapped in Alabama, United States, on Monday took to Facebook to plead with the kidnapper to return her baby.

“Leave the baby somewhere, just call or text me where it is. I won’t ask any questions, I swear,” Bethany Smith, the mother of the kidnapped baby, pleaded in another Facebook post on Tuesday.

Nine-month-old Harlow Darby Freeman was abducted from her parents’ vehicle around 6.50am Monday after her father briefly left the baby in the car to run to a friend’s house, the Chron reported.

“Please give me back my baby… I’m begging you to please give me back my baby,” the distraught mother continued, telling the kidnappers they could keep the stolen Lexus car.

The brown-haired, blue-eyed little girl was wearing a tie-dye jumpsuit and light pink shorts during the kidnapping.

According to the British media outlet, police have issued an Amber Alert to warn the public of fears that the baby doll is “at risk of serious bodily harm or death”, while the family have reportedly promised a $5,000 reward for his safe to return.
