The European Environment Summit began two days ago in Valladolid: the Spanish EU Council Presidency has just begun. The member of the Sánchez executive with expertise on the issue, who will remain in office for a few weeks due to the premature dissolution of the chambers, is Minister for Ecological Transition Teresa Ribera. On July 10, he decided to bike to the summit. However, it appears that, as reported by El Mundo, she only pedaled the final 100 meters of the ride, with the representative car leading her and the support vehicle following. The images released on social media have sparked two controversies. The first concerns cars that followed the same route as the minister anyway, releasing the same emissions into the air and practically nullifying Ribera’s green gesture. The second controversy concerned the minister’s alleged exhibitionism: in order to film the drive, one of her employees is said to have adopted a careless attitude and leaned half-length out of the window of the replacement car to film the scene.
