“This new adaptation clearly demonstrates the timelessness of this series, so loved by the public here in Quebec and elsewhere in the world. Because after Belgium, France, Serbia and the Balkans, an adaptation of Les Beaux malaises is currently being made in Greece!” reveals Chrystine Girard, Head of International Sales at Encore Télévision-Distribution.
“The Belgian producer and lead actor was immediately drawn to the format and the network firmly believes in the potential of the series. ‘Les beaux malaises’ promises to be one of the most successful back-to-school programs in Belgium!” said Michel Daemen of Crazy Cow.
The original version was created by Martin Matte and written in collaboration with François Avard. The original version was produced by Encore Television and Matte TV in association with Quebecor Content. While airing on TVA, the series maintained an average market share of 45% and won 43 awards and accolades, according to a press release. The first three seasons are available now on Amazon Prime Video.
