A four-year-old girl was reported to have tragically died of asphyxiation while eating a Costco hot dog in Washington, United States, on Sunday.
The child, who was enjoying a meal at Costco in Kennewick, Washington, died of choking while eating his hot dog, Benton County Coroner William Leach told Fox News Digital on Tuesday.
Witnesses at the scene tried in vain to save the little one by practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation before using an automated external defibrillator, the American media continued.
The girl was taken to a hospital by American emergency services, where her death was pronounced.
However, it’s unclear if any maneuvers were undertaken to try to remove the trapped piece of hot dog that was blocking his airway, the coroner noted.
