Reflecting on the decision to invite the cameras back into her home, Danielle admitted they had been nervous, but the gang immediately “got back on track”.

She explained, “It felt strange not having cameras nearby to capture life while we were away because we were so used to it.” But I feel like we know what we’re doing now. “We didn’t really take a break.”

In fact, viewers were devastated when the family announced they had decided to stop filming their popular reality show after eight seasons.

But it was the kids themselves that became the main trigger for the family’s decision to return to TLC.

Danielle recalled, “They got so used to seeing our crew that soon they were just like, ‘Where’s Uncle Brad? where are the cameras When are you coming back?”

“I think because they started to understand that in order to see yourself on TV, you have to film.” So they started to realize, “Well, if we don’t film, what are we supposed to watch?” … It was a unanimous one Decision to bring cameras back.”

Adam, 41, added, “What’s cool about this season is that now every single girl is wearing a mic.” They’re an important part of this show now, they’re having conversations and they’re more involved in things. It was a lot of fun.’

As viewers of the show know, raising six children between the ages of eight and 12 is no easy task, and Danielle admitted the couple often still feel just as “overwhelmed” as they did when they first welcomed their twins times greeted.

Happy bunch: Danielle admitted the couple still feel “constantly overwhelmed”.

“I think we still feel overwhelmed all the time,” she laughed. “We look around and think, ‘Okay, that’s it. That’s real, we have six kids.” Life can still be overwhelming, but I think we just have to move on with what we have right now. There’s only so much you can do and we’re outnumbered. We are daughterly out!“

And as most can imagine, the expense of raising such a large brood is not for the faint of heart.

“We spend anywhere from $800 to $1,000 a week from just grocery shopping to everything that needs to be done for exercise and lunch.’ I mean, it’s expensive.’

Adam then joked about her never-ending chores, while Danielle added, ‘Laundry day in our house, that’s every day!’ It’s 10 minutes an hour, every hour.’

Meanwhile, the two are no strangers to online criticism from other parents who don’t agree with their children being filmed at such a young age, but the couple are careful to distance themselves from hateful comments.

Adam explained, “You have to figure out if someone is just plain unhappy and is a hater.” If so, then just block and delete. We want to separate from everyone who wants to rob us of the joy of life.

“But if the allegation is valid, I will respond and defend ourselves.” Say why we made that decision or whatever. Just explain our point with that. If they still like being a hater or want to accuse you of something that is untrue, then leave it out there.”

The couple insist they will not push their daughters into becoming young social media influencers.

When asked if they would allow the teenaged Blayke to start creating content on her own solo account, Danielle made it clear she wasn’t thrilled with the idea, but admitted, “We’ll get there when.” we’ll get there.” I’m not ready yet, so I don’t know.

Adam explained, “Obviously mom and dad saw a lot of things and we learned.” It’s going to take a long, slow process to make sure she’s able, capable and mature enough to handle it because it’s not all just glamorous.

“It’s work and you have to deal with the good and the bad. It’s hard for a teenager who’s not used to it.”

When the show last aired, viewers were terrified of a mysterious illness that led to Danielle being hospitalized with autoimmune issues.

The mother-of-six shared an update on her health crisis, admitting doctors still haven’t been able to give her troubles an “official title”.

“Autoimmune diseases are annoying,” Danielle said. “You just never know the ups and downs that are coming.” It’s hard for me, it’s hard for Adam to deal with and adjust to.’

She continued, “But I’ve been on the right track and I’ve been working with my neurologist to help me with a lot of the nerve issues and damage I have.” The migraines and muscle issues.

“My body went into a tremendous shock after I got them.” I had heart problems and my inflammation just increased tremendously. But I was put in good hands by doctors and I’ve been on a good path, especially in the last probably six to nine months.”

She concluded, “Still a work in progress.” Still doing lots of blood work every six weeks. One day we’ll get there, but I’m much better.’

Elsewhere, the new season shows the couple making things work, as Danielle works in her boutique while Adam runs the girls at home.

He explained, “I was extremely involved anyway.” That’s why I gave up my career in the oil and gas industry to just work from home and do my own thing so we could start our own companies and stuff like that.

“When we opened the boutique, it had to be the flagship and be there more. We just adjust precisely because that’s what we’ve tuned into. Yes. “It’s a little harder right now just trying to figure things out.”

Adam continued, “We’re doing a little more divide and conquer.” That’s sort of the motto of our home right now. It’s just like, “Okay, either I’ll take them all or you’ve got these, I’ve got these and we’re going to win today.”

Conceived using intrauterine insemination (IUI), a procedure similar to IVF, the Busby girls were the first all-female quintuplets born in the United States and the first worldwide since 1969.
