Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James fans breathed a sigh of relief Wednesday night as he expressed his intention to play the next NBA season.
The famous athlete spoke on stage at the ESPY Gala in the City of Angels, and as he accepted the award for Best Record Performance, he spoke about his future in professional basketball. His words should quell the rumors for a while.

“I don’t care how many points I get or what I can or can’t achieve. The real question for me is, “Can I play this sport without cheating?” Gone are the days when I can’t give my all on the pitch. Luckily for you, that day hasn’t come yet.
However, “King James” raised doubts about his future career after the Lakers were eliminated in the Western Conference Finals. “We’ll see what will happen. I don’t know, honestly there’s a lot of things to think about,” he told media. Paradoxically, he has already expressed a desire to one day play alongside his son Bronny, who will be advancing at the University of Southern California next year.
The 2023-2024 season will be the 21st of the player’s glorious journey, who averaged 28.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last season.
