Donald Trump got viewers laughing when he was caught on camera throwing a golf ball far from its intended target during a recent round.

In a clip uploaded to social media and allegedly filmed this week, the former president can be seen setting up a shot just short of the green, flanked by six golf carts for his Secret Service personnel.

Filmed remotely by another player at the Trump National Golf Club golf course in LA, the clip is captioned, “I met Trump… and he did.”

The video shows the 77-year-old preparing for his shot, pulling a racquet out of his pocket and doing a practice swing to ensure he gets the ball exactly where he wants it.

“Let’s see if he can hit the green,” shouts the man filming the clip before Trump goes off and throws his shot – with incredible results.

The ball can clearly be seen flying into a bush on the right side of the hole, very far from its intended target, leaving the former President perplexed.

“Oh he blew it, oh my god… I got that on video!” shouts the viewer as he and his friends are heard laughing at the shot.

The video is perhaps even more revealing considering Trump regularly boasts of his impressive skills on the pitch. The billionaire claims to have a handicap of 2.8 – an extremely impressive figure that would place him in the top 5 percent of players.

Books have even been written about his blatant lies on the golf course, including Rick Reilly’s Commander In Cheat, which details some incredible stories about his time on the golf course.

In one particularly intriguing story, the former president – who is running for a second term in the White House in 2024 – is said to have claimed he won the senior club championship at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course – even though he was in Pennsylvania that day stopped The tournament was played.

As Reilly explains: “He had stated that the club should start hosting senior club championships for the over-50s, but he forgot that one of the club’s best players had just turned 50.”

“Having no chance of beating the guy, on the day of the tournament he went to his Trump Philadelphia court and played there with a friend. After that, according to a source within the Bedminster Club, he called the Bedminster Pro Shop and announced that he had shot 73 and should be declared the winner.

At 77, Trump still plays very regularly, but how good he really is remains debatable

“The professional, who wished to remain employed, agreed. His name was on the plaque.’

In an interview with FOX Sports Radio, Trump also once claimed he “shot pretty low 70s” at the notoriously difficult Winged Foot in New York, points that would place him among the sport’s top pros.

In another anecdote from Reilly’s book about the same golf club, caddies there refer to Trump as “Pele” because he kicks the ball across the course.

The 77-year-old, who appears to be wearing his traditional red Make America Great Again cap during the round, is gearing up for another shot at the presidency as he prepares to face Joe Biden next year.
