Safety tip in the hotel room with a bottle of water
When we arrive at a hotel room, the first thing we think of is to unpack and rest in a comfortable bed after a long journey.
The first thing to do, though, is make sure the room is really safe, and this tip from a KLM flight attendant could save your life.
The idea is to use a water bottle and throw it under the bed until it spills over to the other side.
If the bottle moves to the other side of the bed, it means no one is hiding underneath.
However, if the bottle gets stuck along the way, the ideal is to call reception or open the bedroom doors for a quick escape if you want to see what’s under the bed.
The idea might seem quite unusual, but you’d be surprised at how many instances there are of people hiding under hotel beds to steal from guests, or worse.
