Jorge Aragão was diagnosed with nonHodgkin lymphoma. The information was confirmed this Saturday (15) by his press office.

“Out of respect for friends, contractors and fans, singersongwriter Jorge Aragão publicly announces through his press office that he has been diagnosed with nonHodgkin’s lymphoma following a battery of tests,” the statement said.

According to the INCA (National Cancer Institute), nonHodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) is a type of cancer that originates in the cells of the lymphatic system and spreads in a disorderly manner.

“The artist will begin his treatment immediately and remains confident, under the care of hematologist Caroline Rebello and to everyone’s support, prayers and positive energies to remain calm.”

The singer must fulfill his professional obligations as soon as possible. According to the artist’s press office, he is at home and did not have to be hospitalized.
