According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s sanctions officer, Russian rockets and cruise missiles often contain components from Germany and other Western countries.
According to “FAS”, Vlasyuk reported on June 13 with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Economy Minister Yulia Swyrydenko to Western ambassadors in Kiev.
The report to the ambassadors said that most pieces of smuggled bullets came from the US at 81 percent. Switzerland follows in second place with eight percent, Germany and Japan are third on the list with 3.5 percent each.
More on the subject: A former investigator raises serious allegations against the auditing giant KPMG. Have the arms deals and sanctions on Russia been ignored? The front ZDF research:
Components from Germany are said to have been fitted to the Kh-101 cruise missile and the 9M728 and 9M729 variants of the Iskander cruise missile. The Kh-47M2 Kinschal hypersonic missile is also expected to contain German components.
According to the Ukrainian findings, a total of 16 German companies provided materials and services for these weapons. Export was mainly via China, but also via Central Asia, the Caucasus or Turkey. Electronics, insulating materials and plastics have apparently been delivered. As business is conducted through shell companies in transit countries, some companies may not even know where their products are going.
According to “FAS”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that reports “from our Ukrainian colleagues about the use of sanctioned components in Russian projectiles are taken very seriously” and that this information is verified “very carefully”.
However, it is “possible that these components were delivered before the war and before our sanctions came into effect”. Deliveries contrary to sanctions would be “a case for the Public Prosecutor’s Office”.
