There will be several big obstacles in Montreal this weekend. The Ministry of Transport has identified several hotspots that should be avoided in the metropolis.
One of the biggest obstacles is also the road to Montreal-Trudeau Airport, which will not be spared. If you absolutely have to go to the airport, avoid the Saint-Pierre motorway junction. From 11:59 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, the Honoré Mercier Bridge on-ramp to Highway 20 West will be completely closed.

The Dorval Interchange is now an alternative way to get to Montreal-Trudeau Airport while the construction work that was supposed to take place in this section has been cancelled.
Also, Highway 13 should be avoided on the Highway 440 section. Congestion is expected near Laval southbound and near Boisbriand northbound for the weekend and next weekend.

In addition, it will not be possible to drive on the Turcot interchange at the weekend. Highway 15 North and Highway 20 East ramps will be closed.

A detour is possible via the ramp to Highway 136.
Motorway 25 south and the Anjou interchange will also be closed, making it difficult to travel through the Louis-Hyppolite-Lafontaine tunnel.
Boundaries to be respected around construction sites
“Orange signage must be respected. Sometimes speed limits are lowered because lanes can be narrowed or changed. In the evening or at night there are no obstacles in the network because we don’t see any workers. We must respect them at all times,” commented Transport Ministry spokeswoman Émilie Lord.
Two road markers were hit by a car this week, once again reminding us of the importance of obeying speed limits around construction sites. One of them is still in critical condition.
Last year, 222 road users were injured by cars in Quebec.
