Just over two weeks after the episode of Quran burned The Islamic cultural association Muhammadiah from Brescia took to the streets outside a mosque in Stockholm, Sweden, to peacefully express their “disagreement and regret over what happened”.
This afternoon a delegation of people met in Piazza Rovetta behind the loggia to say: “burn sacred texts in public space it cannot be an expression of freedom, but only an indication of increasingly rampant discrimination and Islamophobia.” The demonstrators demanded posters Respect for all religions and for all sacred texts. During the gathering, passages from various sacred texts were read.
“We cannot be indifferent to acts of hate and discrimination aimed at rejecting pluralism and the process of social inclusion that the whole world needs. “Europe included,” said the flyer inviting them to take part in the garrison.
Also in attendance was City Councilor for Family Policy, Marco Fenaroli.
