Footage of the fight showed spectators watching before quickly escalating after one of the fighters delivered a punch at their opponent.

A spectator in a white shirt is pushed and almost falls to the ground as tensions rise on the sidelines.

A shove and shove erupts between a small group before a man in a black shirt lunges at one of the fighters.

Another burly man in an orange shirt then pulls the fighter away and pushes him.

More people intervene, separating the spectator from the fighter before a staff member is shot to the ground with a spear.

You can see him visibly shaken when he is helped by bystanders shortly afterwards.

The men are eventually separated as bystanders are led away before a man in a red shirt is caught screaming while being restrained.

According to the Chron, New South Wales Police have not been informed of the incident.

It is understood that no injuries have been reported and the PCYC center has resumed normal activities.

A spokesman for Jiujiteiros Australia told Chron Australia they were aware of the incident and said action had been taken.

“Unfortunately, a heated match ensued…” he said

“Those involved have been told they are now prohibited as this behavior is contrary to what we stand for and are trying to promote.”

It’s unclear who started the chaotic scuffle.

According to their website, Sydney Jiujiterio’s is a “modern tournament…for the modern jiujiterio and submission grappler”.

The tournament features friendly competitions for jiu-jitsu competitors and enthusiasts each year.
