Whistling around a waterslide on a cruise ship turned into comedy after a woman gets stuck on top of it three times before sliding back – to applause from fellow vacationers.

Footage taken on board a boat off the coast Mexico On Saturday, March 5, a bikini-clad guest confidently flew down the chute and made it all the way to the top before coming to an abrupt stop.

She then slowly slides back, head first, with her ponytail in front, while the other guests cackle merrily.

The determined thrill-seeker was assisted each time by the film crew, and the audience applauded her.

It is unclear what caused the waterslide’s apparent malfunction.

Another cruise ship passenger, Paige Hodgson, said staff used a hatch in a narrow pipe to drag the woman to safety.

She said: “I was with my family on the cruise ship when it happened.

Ms Hodgson added that she had hit the slide herself earlier in the day, but the ride was still open after the incident.
