Maura Higgins addresses Love Island All Stars rumors and reveals ITV WAS approached her
“Love Island” star Maura Higgins broke the record by appearing in an all-stars series on the dating show.
The 32-year-old reality star – who rose to fame on the hit show in 2019 – confirmed producers had approached her.
Maura, who has been dubbed by fans as one of the most iconic contestants in the history of the ITV show, revealed she subsequently turned down the opportunity.
This comes after executive producer Mike Spencer recently hinted at the possibility of an all-stars series and was interested in signing the Irish bombshell.
The reality star told Goss.ie that she “didn’t want to go back in time” and has left the series.

‘I did it once’: The 32-year-old reality star – who rose to fame on the hit show in 2019 (pictured) – has confirmed producers have approached her
She said, “I can’t imagine ever doing that again, no.” I was asked, but I said no.
“I just think I did it once, I’ve had my time on Love Island.” “I don’t really want to go back in time, I want to look to the future.”
A source told The Sun earlier this year that the all-star series is in “development” as it seeks to scout “some of the islanders sexiest”.
They said: “The plan would be to invite some of the most attractive and successful former islanders over to see if they can find love a second time.”
Male contestants slated to return could include 2017 series winner Kem Cetinay, 26, and 2016 star Scott Thomas, 28.
It comes after Maura landed a job on the US version of Love Island.
The TV personality has been announced as the social media ambassador for the Stateside version, with the news shared on the show’s official Instagram channel last week.
Maura burned with joy over the snap, which was shared along with the caption: “This is just getting started… Maura Higgins will be your social ambassador this season and bring you the BTS info all summer long (secretly)!”
‘I was asked but I said no’: Maura revealed she turned down the opportunity
Maura is no longer looking for love after her new boyfriend Bobby Holland Hanton confirmed their romance.
In Bobby’s Instagram snap, he showed off Maura’s hand and his own Rolex-clad wrist, and also shared clips of him hanging out with Lisa Snowdon.
Maura’s romance with Bobby marks her first serious relationship since her split from Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice in 2021.
The couple dated for four months, but Maura removed all of the amorous photos of her and Giovanni when their paths suddenly parted.
The presenter has not only been dating Curtis Pritchard and Chris Taylor, who both appeared alongside Maura in 2019’s ‘Love Island’, but also MK Dons footballer Connor Wickham and former TOWIE star Joey Essex.
