The Bachelorette’s Angie Kent reveals heartbreaking news as her beloved dad undergoes chemotherapy: ‘I took things for granted’
The Bachelorette star Angie Kent revealed to her fans on Sunday that her father Markos is currently undergoing chemotherapy for blood cancer.
The former reality star, 33, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram by posting a short video of a dejected looking Markos being put on an IV line at a hospital.
Angie captioned the footage with some heartbreaking words: “I took things for granted.” My father has started chemotherapy for blood cancer.
“We are waiting for a bone marrow donor so that he can receive his transplant.” No matches have been found yet.
“All we have is faith and confidence that the universe will deliver.” I give in to the ups and downs.

The Queensland native then asked her followers to pray for her ailing father.
“I’m not sharing this out of compassion, but because of the power of praying together for all of our loved ones going through change and healing!” Thank you for the love.’
Many of Angie’s celebrity friends were quick to voice their supportive words.
“Sending all my love and strength to you and your father,” wrote The Bachelor’s Alex Nation, while singer Jack Vidgen wrote, “Thinking of you.”
Angie split from her ex Carlin Stritt, whom she chose on The Bachelorette in 2020, after eight months of dating.
She previously claimed Carlin wanted her to look “like a Barbie doll” and even said he refused to adopt an “ugly dog” because it wasn’t “aesthetically pleasing.”
“I took things for granted. My father started chemotherapy for blood cancer. We are waiting for a bone marrow donor to receive his transplant. “No matches have been found yet,” Angie wrote alongside the footage
“I’m going to attract people I don’t really like because I don’t like being 100 pounds, drinking too much and having to look like a doll all the time,” she said on her Nova podcast.
“I’ll end up with Carlin and see how well that went.” I don’t want to wear that shit. I want to look like that and dress a really nice person.”
She added snidely, “And no offense to him.” I’m sure you know he’s a great partner for a Barbie doll… but not for this guy.”
