Fox News’ new primetime star Jesse Watters had a special guest call on his debut show on Monday — and she had quite a bit to say about the conservative host’s new gig.

Watters’ mother Anne called on the first episode of Jesse Watters primetime to congratulate her 44-year-old son on taking over the coveted 8 p.m. slot from the ousted Tucker Carlson and to offer him some advice.

“I want to congratulate you honey, we’re so proud of you and your achievements and you’ve worked so hard.” Now we want to make sure you keep your job,” said Anne, a Democrat and clinical psychologist.

The proud mother then listed some of her suggestions to avoid Watters being fired like his predecessor, who left Fox News after the broadcaster agreed to pay a $787 million settlement for spreading election conspiracy theories to pay.

“Don’t fall down any conspiracy rabbit holes. “We don’t want to lose you and we don’t want lawsuits,” Anne told her conservative son.

“In keeping with the Hippocratic Oath: do no harm.” We need you to be kind and respectful.

“Use your voice responsibly to encourage conversation that maintains a narrative thread.” There really has been enough Biden bashing and the laptop is old. Maybe you could suggest that your people, for example, be less interested in and talk about other people’s bodies.”

Watters contradicted the comment and defended a section on children’s grooming, claiming he was trying to “keep other people’s interest off children’s bodies.”

Anne then challenged the presenter to suggest that former President Donald Trump reconsider his re-election ambitions.

“You could encourage your Bedminster friend to go back to his former career in television,” she said. “Anyone in his audience could wear a red hat.”

Watters’ relationship with his mother was featured in the Mom Texts section of his previous show.

In 2018, he shared a text message from Anne telling him, “DO NOT accept then-President Trump’s offer to become chief of staff.”

One of the lyrics read, “Pau]Manafort is a criminal,” after Robert Mueller said Trump’s former campaign manager lied to the Special Counsel’s office during the Russia investigation.

“Short and sweet, mom,” Watters said of the lyrics.

Watters, a married father of four, is a seasoned Fox News veteran – he’s worked for the network since graduating college in 2001 and is slowly climbing the rankings.

His show Jesse Watters Primetime kicked off Jan. 24, 2022 — and in June 2023, Fox News announced that Watters would be named the permanent anchor of the station’s 8 p.m. EST hour.

Carlson’s ouster comes days after Fox was forced to fork a historic $787 million deal with an election hardware company over allegations that the moderator and other network operators had spread lies about its machines during the 2020 election.

The lawsuit was filed back in March 2021 – at the height of Carlson’s success – and specifically related to statements made by the expert, Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, Jeanine Pirro and Maria Bartiromo.

During the uncovering of the case, several text messages Carlson sent to colleagues over the course of the 2020 election were released, reportedly embarrassing the network.
