Dashing Cowboys Show: “It was a privilege,” says FEQ – TVA Nouvelles

Hours after attending and organizing the Cowboys’ dashing show at the Festival d’été de Québec on Monday, the FEQ’s Vice President of Content and Artistic Director is still shaken by the scale of the event.

“It was a privilege to be a part of this for the public and for them. It will help come full circle for many people,” says Louis Bellavance in a soulful voice.

The performance of the group around Karl Tremblay, who is suffering from prostate cancer, and the love wave of the 90,000 supporters on site made this show a milestone in the history of the festival.

“I’ve been ‘booking’ festivals for 25 years and it’s the moments that make a career. The people who were there will tell their children about it,” he said.

Even Paul Piché and Robert Charlebois were touched by the show.

“I was on stage for the song les étoiles filantes with Paul Piché and Robert Charlebois standing next to me and Robert told me he hadn’t seen it since the Superfrancofête with Félix. [Leclerc] And [Gilles] Vigneault,” he says.

In addition, the comments on the exit of many supporters of the musical group were unanimous.

“It’s not the first time I’ve seen her, but the energy that was there was… ‘Oh my God,'” one follower of the group remarked.

“The wait before entering the site was worth it,” says one festival visitor.

“Thank you,” one supporter of the group said simply, forming a heart with her hands.
