President Biden turns down family meeting request Texas Marine Trevor Reid, who is in prison in Russia, his health is deteriorating.

Reid, 30, has been in a prison in Moscow since 2019. He is accused of hitting two Russian policemen in a drunken brawl, but his family claims it didn’t happen. Then he was sentenced to nine years in prison.

For the past three years, his parents have been campaigning for help from Washington. COLUMBIA REGION to release him from custody.

Their fight has taken on a new urgency given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and heightened tensions between Putin and the West.

President Biden will travel to Fort Worth, Texas today to discuss initiatives to improve veterans’ health care.

It’s not far from where the Reid family lives. They asked if they could meet with him for a few minutes to discuss their case, but on Wednesday, the couple said they were denied.

“We are very upset about this and we… obviously only had a couple of minutes to talk to him.

“Our son protected [Biden] at Camp David when he was vice president,” said Joey Reed, Trevor’s father. Fox and friends first.

Paula, Trevor’s mother, added: “We’ve met almost everyone except the president, and it’s the president who makes the decisions.”

“We are mainly concerned that his health is really deteriorating,” she added.

The couple said they went 232 days without hearing from him until they received a phone call recently.

Trevor told them that he was seriously ill, coughing up blood “all day” and that he had been exposed to tuberculosis, but the prison guards did not test him for him.

The couple added that the Biden administration is working to help them, but they want to meet with the president to move things forward.

“We want to say that we are glad that the administration is working and speaking out.

“We met with almost everyone except the president, and the president makes the decisions,” he said.

In an interview with Dallas Morning News he said yesterday: “The president, like all presidents, is very isolated by the staff, and we just think that if he saw us standing there, he might say, ‘Slow down, is that Trevor Reed’s family?’ and talk to us.

“And if not, then at least he can just see the signs, and then we can arrange a meeting later.” But we’re grasping at straws. Our son is seriously ill and we need the president to bring him home.”

The family say they are skeptical that WNBA star Britney Griner, who was arrested at an airport in Moscow in February, even carried the cannabis vape that got her detained.

She began the season with the team before returning to the US in February for a two-week hiatus.

She was returning to Russia to restart the season when she was arrested.

Griner’s wife says she is waiting for news and that the family tried to get her in touch with a lawyer in Moscow.

Her arrest comes as tensions between the West and Russia continue to escalate.

Last month, the State Department warned all Americans still in Russia to leave while they could.

Now the number of flights from Russia is declining.
