The rubble of a house in Trois-Rivières that burned down two years ago is still in place and the neighborhood fears there will be an accident as the property is unsafe in a family neighborhood.
The structure of the house that burned down in September 2021 is still not destroyed and the property is not fenced.

The danger is real: a lot of rubble is scattered on the ground, an opening in the foundation allows, among other things, easy access for a person.
The dangerous place raises fears for the safety of children who want to play there.

“It doesn’t make sense because it can attract bugs, including all sorts of evil-intentioned people who would live there,” says one affected citizen.
Things will change very soon. The house was in the hands of an insolvency practitioner as the owner was unable to recover compensation from his insurance company.
A company has just purchased the property and intends to build a triplex on it. We are assured that it will be demolished in the next few days and the City of Trois-Rivières says it will be monitoring this new buyer.
