Laura Lux, 38, who now lives in Texas, once made up to $98,000 (AUD132,000) on OnlyFans in a single month, but urges other women not to follow in her footsteps.
In an article for Insider, the busty blonde said going on OnlyFans can be “humiliating” and that making money isn’t as easy as people might think.
“I would really think about the consequences that would have for your future.” “Online sex work is glamorized as easy money, when in reality that’s not the case,” she warned.
Laura said she was fortunate to be able to make money thanks to her large social media following, which she’s had since her days as a MySpace model in the mid-2000s.

She stressed that most of the women now involved with OnlyFans don’t have a large enough following to make money, and that the market is “oversaturated” with creators hoping to make a quick buck.
“It’s unlikely you’re going to make a lot of money, despite what some YouTubers might tell you,” she said, adding that they also struggle with being called “degrading names” online.
Laura said another downside is that one’s intimate photos are available forever on the internet – something many people don’t seem to fully grasp.

“You can delete something, but you can never really remove it from the internet.” “So if you’re unsure about posting explicit photos and videos of yourself, then don’t do it,” she said.
Laura currently has 2.1 million followers on Instagram and over 1.3 million on Twitter.
She makes money from two separate OnlyFans accounts and also has accounts on rival apps Fansly and Playboy.

Before Laura became a social media star, she worked as a stripper and was a DJ for a short time.

She originally left Melbourne to live in Los Angeles before settling in Texas, where she now resides with boyfriend Braeden Key.
