The Dallas Stars announced Thursday night that they have added former goaltender Ben Bishop to their player development team.

This is a homecoming for Bishop as he wore the Dallas lineup’s colors from 2017-2020. He then announced his retirement in the 2021-2022 season due to a knee injury.

The 1.95 meter tall goalie played eleven seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for five different teams. They’re the St. Louis Blues, the Ottawa Senators, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Los Angeles Kings, and the Dallas Stars.

In 413 games on the Bettman circuit, the American held a record of 222-128-36. His save percentage was .921 and he had a 2.32 goals-against average.
