L’arresto di ieri dell’ex ufficiale dei servizi russi (Fsb) e ardente ultranazionalista Igor Girkin, detto Strelkov (il fuciliere o lo sparatutto), potrebbe essere la manifestazione pubblica di uno spostamento dell’equilibrio di potere tra le fazioni del Cremlino, forse a scapito del Servizio di sicurezza federale russo (Fsb), in cui Girkin aveva prestato servizio. E da cui potrebbe essere ancora protetto. Lo scrive nel suo ultimo report il think tank statunitense Isw (The insitute for the study of war). I documenti emersi nell’udienza di ieri in tribunale a Mosca indicano che le autorità russe hanno aperto un dossier contro Girkin il 18 luglio, giorno in cui ha pubblicato diverse dure critiche al presidente russo Vladimir Putin. Alcune fonti hanno ipotizzato inoltre che le lamentele della milizia Wagner nei confronti di Girkin possano aver scatenato il suo arresto. Girkin, secondo gli analisti dell’Isw, ha probabilmente il sostegno di un ‘potente’ all’interno della leadership russa, forse proprio dentro l’Fsb che ha promosso i propri interessi utilizzando Girkin come tramite per rivelare sul suo seguitissimo blog informazioni alla comunità ultranazionalista russa. Il think tank ricorda che le autorità russe hanno arrestato il 14 luglio l’ex ufficiale dell’Fsb Mikhail Polyakov, che avrebbe gestito diversi canali Telegram popolari che speculavano sulle dinamiche interne al Cremlino e al ministero della Difesa russo tra le diverse fazioni.

ISW: “With the arrest of Strelkov, Moscow meets the FSB”
Yesterday’s arrest of former Russian intelligence (FSB) officer and fervent ultra-nationalist Igor Girkin, aka Strelkov (the Gunman or Gunman), could be a public sign of a shift in power relations between Kremlin factions, possibly to the detriment of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), where Girkin worked. And from which it could still be protected. This is what the US think tank ISW (The Institute for the Study of War) writes in its latest report. Documents unveiled at yesterday’s Moscow court hearing suggest Russian authorities opened a file against Girkin on July 18, the day he published several scathing criticisms of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to ISW analysts, Girkin likely has the support of a “powerful one” within the Russian leadership, possibly directly within the FSB, who has been promoting his own interests, using Girkin on his very popular blog to relay information to Russia’s ultranationalist community. The think tank recalls that on July 14 Russian authorities arrested former FSB officer Mikhail Polyakov, who allegedly ran several popular Telegram channels speculating on internal dynamics between the various factions in the Kremlin and the Russian Defense Ministry.

The parliament in Sofia has approved the delivery of 100 armored vehicles to Ukraine with a large majority, i.e. with 148 votes in favor and 52 against. Russian attack on village in Donetsk: 4 dead

Ukraine: Russians bomb 7 population centers in Sumy Oblast
