Steven Robert Sablan, 61, Texan, was arrested for kidnapping a minor and rape. The gun-armed man once, while walking down a sidewalk in San Antonio, Texas, forced the victim, a girl who had run away from home, to ride with him in the car.
In the car, Sablan allegedly raped her repeatedly and then drove to California. The kidnapping lasted three days and could have lasted much longer if Sablan hadn’t made a mistake.
According to police reconstructions, the man stopped the car in Long Beach, California, to go to a laundromat to wash his clothes, leaving the victim locked in the car.
