Chef Wilson Cabral, third in the Masterchef Professionals in 2022, died last Friday the 21st. He was hospitalized in Sorocaba, in inland São Paulo, after being involved in a car accident last week, TV Band reported. In social networks, the wife of the former participant confirmed the news.
“It is with regret that I come here to inform you of Wilson’s death. Unfortunately, his time to please you with his food and wonderful dishes is over. I’m shocked but very happy to have been a part of his life for 11 years. Now is the time to trust God and believe that all He left behind will serve as a pride for the son He loved so dearly. Thank you for all the messages,” wrote Simone, Wilson’s wife.
Wilson is survived by their nineyearold son, Arthur. Simone also asked friends and followers for understanding via social networks, since the child had not yet been warned.
“Guys, I can’t answer everyone. First I have to put my son to bed. He can’t imagine what happened today. As soon as I can, I promise I’ll respond to everyone.”
It was thanks to his son that Wilson decided to sign on to Masterchef. At the time of the broadcast, the chef, who worked as a chef at a hotel, said on the official website that his son was thrilled with the performance and that he would bring the craving under control.
“He’s watching ‘Masterchef’ with me and this year he was like, ‘Dad, are you going? You have to compete because you cook very well!’”
